The Harwich Mariners (8-2) and the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (5-5) volleyed the lead four times on Sunday, but the Harwich Mariners came out on top for a 7-3 win on Sunday at Whitehouse Field.

Phil Ervin racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Harwich Mariners. He homered in the first inning and singled in the seventh inning.

A bright spot for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox in the defeat was Chris Anderson, who allowed only three runs while striking out nine.

Clark Labitan got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Labitan struck out one, walked none and gave up two hits.

Alex Gonzalez (0-1) took the loss for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
