Colin Moran had two extra base hits as the Bourne Braves (4-14) took home a 5-1 victory over the Cotuit Kettleers (8-10) at Doran Park on Saturday.
He tripled in the first innings and doubled in the third inning.Jeff Thompson looked sharp on the mound. The Cotuit Kettleers managed just two hits off of Thompson, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two during his five innings of work.
Mike Ford ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
