Saturday was a great day for Mike Recchia, as Recchia tossed a shutout to carry the Windy City ThunderBolts (27-18) to a 1-0 victory over the River City Rascals (25-22) at Standard Bank Stadium.

Recchia's 10 strikeouts helped the Windy City ThunderBolts to the victory. The Windy City ThunderBolts' pitcher tossed nine innings of shutout ball and allowed only two hits.

Preston Vancil couldn't get it done on the mound for the River City Rascals, taking a loss. He lasted just eight innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed one run.
