Alex Kaminsky hopes every outing could go as well as Saturday, as Kaminsky tossed seven scoreless innings to carry the Gateway Grizzlies (45-32) to a 2-0 victory over the Southern Illinois Miners at Rent One Park, Marion, IL.

The Gateway Grizzlies were led by Landon Hernandez's hitting. Hernandez went 3-4 and drove in one. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings and doubled in the eighth inning.

Brian Fowler couldn't get it done on the hill for the Southern Illinois Miners (45-32), taking a loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed one run.
