The Evansville Otters (13-19) needed 12 innings on Thursday to take down the Southern Illinois Miners (18-14) 6-3 at Rent One Park, Marion, IL.

With the score tied at one in the twelfth inning, Nick Schwaner came to the plate and singled, plating Greg Fontenot.

Schwaner helped the Evansville Otters take the lead for good in the twelfth inning.

DeAngelo Mack racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Evansville Otters. He singled in the eleventh inning and homered in the twelfth inning.

Adam Champion recorded his second win of the year for the Evansville Otters. Champion struck out two, walked none and gave up one hit.

Ben Shivers couldn't get it done on the bump for the Southern Illinois Miners, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
