Paul Fagan hopes every outing could go as well as Wednesday, as Fagan pitched seven shutout innings to carry the Lake Erie Crushers (2-3) to a 1-0 victory over the Normal CornBelters (1-3) at Normal.

Ryan Krumlauf was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.

The Lake Erie Crushers scored their only run of the game on an RBI double by Ortiz in the eighth inning.
