Nick Torres was cold coming off the bench, but Torres warmed up quickly as Torres stroked a key pinch-hit single in the nine to lead the Corvallis Knights (31-21) to a 7-6 win over the Klamath Falls Gems (25-27) on Tuesday at Kiger Stadium.

With the Corvallis Knights trailing by one, Torres came to the plate and singled.

Nathan Bunch couldn't get it done on the bump for the Klamath Falls Gems, taking a loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
