The Wenatchee AppleSox (33-17) weren't able to come back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Bellingham Bells (30-19), and the Wenatchee AppleSox lost 3-2 to the Bellingham Bells after falling behind by three runs in the eighth inning.

The Wenatchee AppleSox scored two runs in the ninth on a two-run home run by Ryan Howell. Still, the Wenatchee AppleSox couldn't draw even.

The Bellingham Bells were led by a flawless day at the dish by Derek Atkinson, who went 4-4 against the Wenatchee AppleSox's pitching. He singled in the fourth and fifth innings and tripled in the seventh inning.

Andrew Olson picked up the win for the Bellingham Bells. Olson allowed two earned runs, eight hits and two walks while striking out five over eight innings of work.

Howell racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Wenatchee AppleSox. He singled in the second and fourth innings and homered in the ninth inning.

Beau Kerns (4-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
