Early lead not enough for the Kelowna Falcons, drop 4-2 decision to the Corvallis Knights

The Kelowna Falcons (23-17) built an early edge on Saturday, but the Corvallis Knights (23-18) roared back to steal a 4-2 victory at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.

The Corvallis Knights took the lead in the fifth inning on a two-run double by Nate Roberts.

Dylan Stuart picked up the win for the Corvallis Knights. Stuart pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, three hits and one walk while striking out four.

Tucker Alexander was hot from the plate for the Kelowna Falcons. Alexander went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the third inning.

Tyler Hoelzen ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
