The Walla Walla Sweets (15-23) didn't stand a chance on Friday, as the Klamath Falls Gems (19-19) captured a blowout 10-1 win at Borleske Stadium.

The Klamath Falls Gems scored three runs in the second on a wild pitch and a two-run home run by Tanner Nielsen.

Nielsen racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Klamath Falls Gems.

The Walla Walla Sweets couldn't get anything going as long as Eric Yardley was pitching. The Walla Walla Sweets managed just one hit off of Yardley, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his two innings of work.

A bright spot for the Walla Walla Sweets in the defeat was Luke West, who allowed only three runs while striking out six.

Bryan Clough recorded his second win of the year for the Klamath Falls Gems. He allowed one run over five innings. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered four hits.

Matt Imhof couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Walla Walla Sweets, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
