The Corvallis Knights survive the Wenatchee AppleSox 5-2 thanks to Barr's late-game heroics

Austin Barr brought home the winning run to give the Corvallis Knights (19-13) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Corvallis Knights hung on to beat the Wenatchee AppleSox (21-9) 5-2 on Monday.

With the Corvallis Knights trailing by one in the sixth inning, Barr came to the plate and hit a grand slam, bringing home Nick Torres, Caleb Whalen and Marc Gallegos.

Barr racked up four RBIs on one hit for the Corvallis Knights. He homered in the sixth inning.

The Wenatchee AppleSox couldn't get anything going as long as Devon Barker was pitching. The Wenatchee AppleSox managed just one hit off of Barker, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out eight during his three innings of work.

Mitchell Gunsolus got on base three times in the game for the Wenatchee AppleSox. He doubled in the first inning.

Bryan Granger recorded his second win of the year for the Corvallis Knights. He allowed one run over six innings. Granger struck out one, walked three and gave up four hits.

Lawrence Chew (2-2) took the loss for the Wenatchee AppleSox. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
