The Bend Elks (14-14) built an early edge on Sunday, but the Wenatchee AppleSox (21-8) roared back to steal a 5-3 victory at Vince Genna Stadium.

The Wenatchee AppleSox took the lead in the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly by Ryan Drobny.

Beau Kerns picked up the win for the Wenatchee AppleSox. Kerns pitched seven innings and allowed no earned runs, six hits and one walk while striking out four.

Daniel Chavez ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
