Reiten gives the Wenatchee AppleSox late push to beat the Walla Walla Sweets, 5-2

Cabe Reiten brought home the go-ahead run to give the Wenatchee AppleSox (20-5) the lead in the eighth inning, as the Wenatchee AppleSox hung on to beat the Walla Walla Sweets (12-16) 5-2 on Thursday.

With the score tied at two in the eighth inning, Reiten came to the plate and homered, bringing home Ryan Drobny and Josh Rapacz.

Reiten racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Wenatchee AppleSox. He singled in the second inning and homered in the eighth inning.

Trevor Lubking handled the Walla Walla Sweets' lineup with ease, racking up five strikeouts. Lubking allowed two earned runs on five hits and one walk over six innings.

Shane Zeile racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Walla Walla Sweets. He homered in the sixth inning.

Drew Jacobs got the win, running his season record to 2-1. Jacobs struck out three, walked one and gave up one hit.

Matt Imhof ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
