The Wenatchee AppleSox (18-3) beat the Kitsap BlueJackets (6-20) 7-2 on Thursday at Kitsap Fairgrounds behind Josh Rapacz, who knocked in three runs.
He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the third and sixth innings.Lawrence Chew picked up the win for the Wenatchee AppleSox. Chew pitched eight innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and no walks while striking out five.
The Kitsap BlueJackets were led by Kasey Chapan's hitting. Chapan went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second inning and homered in the ninth inning.
The Wenatchee AppleSox's lineup had no answer for Michael Holback. The Wenatchee AppleSox managed just three hits off of Holback, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his 4 2/3 innings of work.
Jared Gaynor (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.
