A six-run explosion in the fourth inning led the Bend Elks (8-5) to an 11-3 win over the Kitsap BlueJackets (5-14) at Vince Genna Stadium on Wednesday.
The Bend Elks were led by Bo Walter's hitting. Walter went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fourth innings.
Jerad Casper did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Kitsap BlueJackets, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the sixth inning.
Daniel Grazzini recorded his first win of the year for the Bend Elks. Grazzini struck out none, walked none and gave up three hits.
Mitch Bluman ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out none.
