The Bellingham Bells get late runs to finish off the Kitsap BlueJackets, 8-2

The Bellingham Bells (11-3) beat the Kitsap BlueJackets (5-13) 8-2 on Friday thanks to a three-run seventh inning.

Nathaniel Causey pushed the Bellingham Bells ahead, in the sixth inning, and the lead lasted until the final out. With the score tied at one in the sixth inning, Causey came to the plate and tripled, bringing home Jarel Lewis.

Causey racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Bellingham Bells. He tripled in the sixth inning and singled in the first and eighth innings.

Lewis racked up two RBIs on four hits for the Bellingham Bells. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third and seventh innings.

Corey Carma allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks while striking out three over 5 2/3 innings of work.

Keith Zuniga recorded his first win of the year for the Bellingham Bells. He allowed one run over 3 1/3 innings. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered two hits.

Allen Hewey ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked two and struck out one.
