Things looked bleak for the Corvallis Knights (1-0) when they trailed by two runs in the eighth inning, but the Corvallis Knights recovered thanks to a key home run in the eighth inning from Austin Barr to pull out a 6-4 win over the Walla Walla Sweets (0-1) at Borleske Stadium.
With the Corvallis Knights trailing by two, Barr came to the plate and hit a grand slam, scoring Nate Blackham, Matt Nylen and Caleb Whalen.
Barr racked up four RBIs on one hit for the Corvallis Knights. He homered in the eighth inning.
The Walla Walla Sweets couldn't get anything going so long as #Rob Dittrick was on the hill. The Walla Walla Sweets managed just two hits off of Dittrick, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two during his 3 2/3 innings of work.
