The Utica Blue Sox take out the Jamestown Jammers with help from Olmstead, 3-1

Taylor Olmstead went 1-2, helping the Utica Blue Sox (1-0) to a 3-1 victory over the Jamestown Jammers (0-1) on Monday at Donovan Stadium.

He singled in the fourth inning.

Kevin Woebke picked up the win for the Utica Blue Sox. Woebke allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks while striking out three over eight innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Jamestown Jammers' Nick Wegmann dominated the Utica Blue Sox's batters, giving up three runs and striking out seven.

CJ Pickering had a hot bat for the Jamestown Jammers. Pickering went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Wegmann (0-1) took the loss for the Jamestown Jammers.
