The Baltimore Redbirds make the most of 7 hits in 7-6 victory over the Bethesda Big Train

Both the Baltimore Redbirds (3-1) and the Bethesda Big Train (3-1) put runners aboard on Sunday, but it was the Baltimore Redbirds that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 7-6 win at Calvert Hall HS.

Connor Klemann did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Baltimore Redbirds, reaching base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the third inning.

The Bethesda Big Train had no answer for Mike Rescigno, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Bethesda Big Train managed just one hit off of Rescigno, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Vinny Esposito led the Bethesda Big Train's offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the fourth and seventh innings.

Stephen Schoch (0-1) took the loss for the Bethesda Big Train. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed one run.
