Maynard helps the Amsterdam Mohawks down the Albany Dutchmen 4-2

Dan Maynard went 2-4, sparking the Amsterdam Mohawks (18-10) to a 4-2 victory in eight innings over the Albany Dutchmen (15-15) on Sunday at CPSC-Bob Bellizzi Field.

He doubled in the second inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Tim Herrin pitched lights out for the Amsterdam Mohawks. Herrin held the Albany Dutchmen hitless over five innings, allowed one earned run, walked five and struck out two.

Malcolm Nachmanoff got on base three times in the game for the Albany Dutchmen. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the eighth inning.

Tim Naughton recorded his third win of the year for the Amsterdam Mohawks. He allowed one run over two innings. Naughton struck out one, walked two and gave up four hits.

Troy Montemayor couldn't get it done on the bump for the Albany Dutchmen, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
