The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs get on top of the Albany Dutchmen early but can't hang on in 5-1 loss

The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs (18-15) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 5-1 to the Albany Dutchmen (20-17) on Saturday.

The Albany Dutchmen took the lead in the sixth inning on an RBI double by Anthony Forte.

JJ Shimko got on base three times in the game for the Albany Dutchmen. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He doubled in the seventh innings.

Dylan DAnna pitched lights out for the Albany Dutchmen. The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs managed just three hits off of the the Albany Dutchmen's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked four and struck out three during his 6 2/3 innings of work.
