The Newark Pilots (21-17) and the Geneva Red Wings (8-26) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Newark Pilots that eventually took advantage of them in a 7-4 win at McDonough Park.

Sam Fragale racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Newark Pilots. He singled in the sixth, eighth, and ninth innings.

Will Nahmens pitched lights out for the Geneva Red Wings. Nahmens held the Newark Pilots hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Quinton Logan got the win, running his season record to 3-1. He allowed one run over six innings. Logan struck out two, walked one and gave up seven hits.

Dalton Reed (3-4) took the loss for the Geneva Red Wings. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
