The Amsterdam Mohawks uses big sixth inning to beat the Adirondack Trail Blazers, 7-0

The Amsterdam Mohawks (19-11) beat the Adirondack Trail Blazers (7-24) 7-0 on Wednesday at Robert Smith Sports Complex after a four-run explosion in the sixth inning.

The Amsterdam Mohawks scored in the sixth on a two-run error, a three-run error, and a sacrifice fly by Tristen Carranza.

Chris LaVorgna was hot from the plate for the Amsterdam Mohawks. LaVorgna went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the first and seventh innings.

Griffin Roberts racked up six strikeouts in the the Amsterdam Mohawks win. The Amsterdam Mohawks' pitcher gave up just four hits over five shutout innings.

Dylan Borawski (1-2) took the loss for the Adirondack Trail Blazers. He allowed six runs in seven innings, walked two and struck out none.
