Quinton Logan kept the Geneva Red Wings (7-21) off the board during his 6 2/3 innings of work and the Newark Pilots (20-11) beat the Geneva Red Wings, 7-5.

Logan struck out six and allowed two walks and three hits.

Chris Whelan did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Newark Pilots, reaching base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the fourth and ninth innings.

Loukas Bechakas improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Newark Pilots. He allowed one run over one inning. Bechakas struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.

Patrick Conner (0-1) took the loss for the Geneva Red Wings. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
