Mac Crispino collected three hits, sparking the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs (12-12) to a 4-3 victory over the Albany Dutchmen (13-12) on Monday at Veterans Memorial Park.

Zachary Vennaro put together a nice outing. Vennaro held the Albany Dutchmen hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five.

JJ Shimko paced the Albany Dutchmen at the plate. Shimko went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs couldn't get anything going so long as Cooper Jones was on the hill. The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs managed just three hits off of Jones, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his four innings of work.

Anthony Rupp recorded his first win of the year for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs. He allowed two runs over seven innings. Rupp struck out two, walked none and gave up five hits.

Michael Maul (1-1) took the loss for the Albany Dutchmen. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
