The Amsterdam Mohawks (15-7) beat the Albany Dutchmen (11-11) 3-1 in seven innings on Sunday at CPSC-Bob Bellizzi Field behind Andrew Rouse, who went 2-3.

Johnny Malatesta put together a nice outing. The Albany Dutchmen managed just one hit off of Malatesta, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his three innings of work.

Ben Collincini improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Amsterdam Mohawks. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Gavin Wallace ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
