The Utica Blue Sox (23-11) jumped out to an early lead on the Glens Falls Dragons (14-18) and captured a 9-3 victory on Sunday at East Field.

Six runs in the first three innings allowed the Utica Blue Sox to put the game away early.

An RBI single by Kyle Winkler in the first inning and an RBI double by Franklin Jennings during the second inning helped the Utica Blue Sox put some runs on the board early.

Jennings racked up two RBIs on four hits for the Utica Blue Sox.

The Glens Falls Dragons had no answer for Jonas Lovin, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Lovin gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his three innings of work.

Alex Chandler had two extra-base hits for the Glens Falls Dragons. He doubled in the fourth and eighth innings.

Nolan Freeman got the win, running his season record to 3-1. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered seven hits.
