Andrew Sipowicz kept the Geneva Red Wings (4-8) off the board during his six innings of work and the Elmira Pioneers (8-4) beat the Geneva Red Wings, 5-4.

Sipowicz allowed three hits, two walks and struck out six.

Kyle Ruth racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Elmira Pioneers. He singled in the second, fourth, and tenth innings.

Ethan Daily got the win, running his season record to 1-1. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered no hits.

Joe Kwasniewski (0-1) took the loss for the Geneva Red Wings. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed one run.
