Matthew Eastman had two extra base hits, sparking the Geneva Red Wings (4-8) to an 8-4 victory over the Jamestown Jammers (5-8) on Monday at Diethrick Park.
He doubled in the first and fifth innings.The Jamestown Jammers had no answer for Will Nahmens, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Jamestown Jammers managed just one hit off of Nahmens, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.
Tolly Filotei paced the Jamestown Jammers at the plate. Filotei went 2-4 and scored one run. He singled in the second and fourth innings.
Adam Carafotes improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Geneva Red Wings. Carafotes struck out two, walked four and gave up one hit.
Trevor Simon was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked two and struck out two.
