Joe Genord went 3-3 at the plate as the Amsterdam Mohawks (6-4) took home a 7-4 victory over the Utica Blue Sox (7-4) in seven innings at Shuttleworth Park on Monday.

Austin Keen pitched lights out for the Amsterdam Mohawks. Keen gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out six during his five innings of work.

It was a good day at the plate for the Utica Blue Sox's Franklin Jennings. Jennings went 2-4 and scored one run. He singled in the sixth inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Mike Bonaiuto recorded his first win of the year for the Amsterdam Mohawks. He allowed four runs over 1 2/3 innings. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered four hits.

Brandon Romero (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
