Chris Petrosie held the Chemeketa (30-19) scoreless for seven innings to boost the Yakima Valley (31-16) to a 5-0 victory.
Petrosie struck out six and allowed one walk and eight hits.
Kasey Bailey was solid at the plate for the Yakima Valley. Bailey went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first and third innings and tripled in the fifth inning.
Kris Jackson (5-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
