An awesome effort by Blaze Randazzo spurred the Edmonds (27-14) to a 1-0 win over the Columbia Basin on Friday at Mt Tahoma High School .

Randazzo held the Columbia Basin (32-13) scoreless during his nine innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on four hits while ringing up five.

Tanner Simpson allowed no earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out five over nine innings of work.

Simpson (8-2) took the loss for the Columbia Basin.
