Andrews leads the Columbia Basin to 11-2 win over the Big Bend

Wednesday was a great day for Kayla Andrews, as he clubbed three home runs to carry the Columbia Basin (32-15) to an 11-2 victory over the Big Bend (9-28) in seven innings.

Andrews racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Columbia Basin. He homered in the first, fourth, and sixth innings.

The Columbia Basin didn't let up, as they kept racking up runs until the end. The Columbia Basin scored three runs in the final one innings to cap the blowout win. The Columbia Basin scored three runs in the seventh on the Columbia Basin scored in the seventh on a solo home run by Brianna Hofstetter and a two-run home run by Karissa Valdez.

The Big Bend had no answer for Andrews, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Andrews held the Big Bend hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four.

Sarah Gilliam improved to 3-4 on the year by picking up the win for the Columbia Basin. He allowed two runs over five innings. Gilliam struck out one, walked one and gave up seven hits.

Shayla Baker (5-13) took the loss for the Big Bend. He allowed 11 runs in seven innings, walked none and struck out seven.
