Kayla Andrews struck out 13 batters, but it wasn't enough to carry the Columbia Basin (31-16) to a win on Wednesday, as the Columbia Basin fell to the Big Bend (10-27) 4-3 in eight innings.
Shayla Baker struck out nine hitters en route to the the Big Bend win. Baker allowed three earned runs, five hits and four walks over eight innings.
Andrews ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his eighth loss of the year.
