Austin Lee hopes every outing could go as well as Wednesday, as Lee threw a shutout to carry the Spokane (20-15) to a 16-0 victory over the Big Bend (22-11) at Spokane Falls Community College in seven innings.

Lee held the Big Bend scoreless during his seven innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up five.

Ten runs in the first three innings helped the Spokane blow out the Big Bend. A fielder's choice, an error, a single by Garrett Schmerer, an RBI single by Garrett Hull, a sacrifice fly by Jordan Ross, , and a single by Evan Douglas in the second inning helped the Spokane put some runs on the board early.

Hull racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Spokane.

Tyler Winkler was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked none and struck out one.
