The bats were busy at Al Burns Field on Monday, and when the dust cleared the Topeka Train Robbers (26-33) had a 10-9 win over the Great Bend Boom (19-41) in 11 innings.

The teams totaled 21 hits in the game.

Chris Scura got on base three times in the game for the Topeka Train Robbers. He singled in the sixth and eleventh innings.

Ty Geary pitched lights out for the Topeka Train Robbers. The Great Bend Boom managed just one hit off of Geary, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Tyler Shannon improved to 4-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Topeka Train Robbers. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out five, walked three and surrendered four hits.

Lawrence Chavez ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
