Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Saturday as the Roswell Invaders (39-16) outscored the Santa Fe Fuego (15-40) 16-9.

The two teams combined for 25 hits in the game.

Seven runs in the opening three innings allowed the Roswell Invaders to easily put away the Santa Fe Fuego. A hit by pitch, a two-run error, and a three-run home run by Louis Martini in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Roswell Invaders.

Martini racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Roswell Invaders.

The Santa Fe Fuego couldn't get anything going as long as Thomas Huddleston was pitching. The Santa Fe Fuego managed just one hit off of the the Roswell Invaders' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Jimmy Daley was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed 13 runs in six innings, walked five and struck out three.

The Roswell Invaders pounded the Santa Fe Fuego pitching, as six hitters combined for 12 hits, 15 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
