Both the Great Bend Boom (14-22) and the Garden City Wind (20-17) put runners aboard on Wednesday, but it was the Great Bend Boom that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 6-4 win at Al Burns Field.
Clay Ardeeser reached base four times. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the first and third innings.
Matt Marino improved to 2-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Great Bend Boom. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered six hits.
Craig Jaquez (1-4) took the loss for the Garden City Wind. He lasted just two innings, walked six, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
