An impressive effort by Louis Martini carried the Santa Fe Fuego (7-29) to a 13-6 win over the White Sands Pupfish (14-25) on Friday at Fort Marcy Park.

Martini blasted two home runs for the Santa Fe Fuego. Martini went 2-4 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Martini homered in the first, first, and second innings.

Nine runs in the first three innings helped the Santa Fe Fuego blow out the White Sands Pupfish. A solo home run by Martini, a two-run home run by Martini, an RBI double by Chris Tavares, a two-run single by Daniel Muller, and a groundout by Bradley Thomas during the first inning and a two-run home run by Martini in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Santa Fe Fuego.

Vladimer Gomez rocked the Santa Fe Fuego with two home runs. Gomez went 2-4 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Gomez homered in the fourth and sixth innings.

Zack Carter got his second win for the Santa Fe Fuego despite allowing six runs over six innings. He struck out seven, walked one and surrendered eight hits.

Frank Fantino (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 10 runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out two.
