Kenny Chavez went 2-3 and hit a home run, sparking the White Sands Pupfish (10-12) to an 8-6 victory over the Roswell Invaders (12-8) on Wednesday at Griggs Park.

The Roswell Invaders' lineup had no answer for Nick Bozman. The Roswell Invaders managed just two hits off of the the White Sands Pupfish's pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked eight and struck out six during his eight innings of work.

Roche Woodard led the Roswell Invaders' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He singled in the seventh inning and tripled in the ninth inning.

David Johnson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked none and struck out three.
