Patrick Barnett hopes every outing could go as well as Wednesday, as Barnett threw a shutout to carry the Great Bend Boom (7-4) to a 4-0 victory over the Garden City Wind at Al Baird Field.

Barnett held the Garden City Wind (5-8) scoreless during his nine innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on eight hits while striking out six.

Ryan Riordan (0-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just seven innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
