The Wenatchee Valley drub the SW Oregon, 12-4

The Wenatchee Valley (14-11) pounded the SW Oregon (18-6) on Saturday 12-4 in six innings.

The Wenatchee Valley scored five runs in the third on the Wenatchee Valley scored in the third on a double by Nikki Mather, a three-run error, and a double by Brooke Writer.

Writer racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Wenatchee Valley.

The SW Oregon couldn't get anything going as long as Karly Malcolm was pitching. Malcolm held the SW Oregon hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Tayler Finch was solid at the plate for the SW Oregon. Finch went 2-3 and scored two runs. He singled in the first innings and tripled in the fifth inning.

Stephanie Granger got the win, running his season record to 8-5. He allowed four runs over four innings. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered five hits.

Lauren Spencer was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed 12 runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out five.
