The Douglas (12-5) jumped on the Mt. Hood (17-7) early on their way to a 9-6 win on Sunday at Columbia Playfields in seven innings, scoring three runs in the first inning.
The Douglas scored in the first on an error, an error, and a two-run single by Michaela Moore.
Moore racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Douglas.
Kayla Byers racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Mt. Hood. He homered in the third inning and singled in the sixth inning.
Moore got his second win for the Douglas despite allowing five runs over four innings. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered seven hits.
Cheyenne Vance was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked none and struck out none.
