The Wenatchee Valley (7-10) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 5-4 ballgame against the Spokane (14-8) on Saturday.
While the Wenatchee Valley led until the sixth inning, the Spokane worked their way back and took the lead on a three-run single by Courtney Adams.
Gabby Juarez brought the heat against the Wenatchee Valley during his outing. The Wenatchee Valley managed just two hits off of Juarez, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out none during his four innings of work.
Makenzie Norwill got the win, running his season record to 5-4. He allowed four runs over three innings. Norwill struck out one, walked one and gave up seven hits.
