Four first-inning runs helped the Lower Columbia (10-2) to an 8-6 win over the Linfield College at TBD on Thursday.

The Lower Columbia scored in the first on an RBI single by Hannah Rothwell, a two-run double by Jessica Gibson, and an RBI single by Madi Barr.

It was a good day at the plate for the Lower Columbia's Nicole Bolasky. Bolasky went 3-5 and scored three runs. He singled in the first, second, and third innings.

A bright spot for the Linfield College in the defeat was TB, who allowed only one run while striking out five.

AD was hot from the plate for the Linfield College. AD went 3-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the second, fifth, and seventh innings.

Krystina Fischer recorded his sixth win for the Lower Columbia even though he allowed five runs over six innings. He struck out five, walked three and surrendered eight hits.
