The Wenatchee Valley (5-5) blew out the Big Bend (5-8) 11-3 on Saturday at Big Bend Complex after pouring on eight runs in the first inning.

The Wenatchee Valley scored in the first on a three-run home run by Hunter Schneitter, an RBI double by Amber Writer, , and a three-run single by Karly Malcolm.

Schneitter put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Wenatchee Valley.

Tifini Schorzman reached base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the third inning.

Stephanie Granger improved to 2-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Wenatchee Valley. He allowed three runs over five innings. Granger struck out five, walked five and gave up five hits.

Olivia Harrison (1-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in one-third of an inning, walked four and struck out none.

The Wenatchee Valley's Brooke Writer, Schneitter and Korteney Durand combined for five hits and five RBIs.
