The Mt. Hood scored in the fifth on an RBI double by Megan Marcy, an RBI single by Madisen Baldwin, an RBI single by Hailey Valitski, an RBI single by Darian Lindsey, an RBI single by Rachel Rutledge, and a sacrifice fly by Marcy.
Marcy put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Mt. Hood.
Sammie Byron held the Pierce (6-7) scoreless during his five innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on five hits while striking out four.
Jessilyn Enlow ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
The Mt. Hood's Rutledge, Reeghan Lehnert and Marcy combined for eight hits and three RBIs.
