The Mt. Hood (11-2) and the Everett (3-3) each put runners in scoring position on Friday, but the Mt. Hood capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 5-3 win at Sandy HS.
Madisen Baldwin had a hot bat for the Mt. Hood. Baldwin went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second and sixth innings.
Brook Stutzman went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the Everett. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.
Sammie Byron recorded his second win of the year for the Mt. Hood. He allowed three runs over seven innings. Byron struck out eight, walked six and gave up nine hits.
Scarlett Nyenhuis ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
