Skagit Valley vs Clark: 6-5

The Skagit Valley take out the Clark with help from Kruzich, 6-5

Mallory Kruzich went 2-4, sparking the Skagit Valley (4-2) to a 6-5 victory in eight innings over the Clark (2-5) on Saturday at RAC - Lacey.

He singled in the fifth and eighth innings.

A bright spot for the Clark in the defeat was Madison Plummer, who allowed only one run while striking out five.

Michaela Lee got a hit in each of his two at bats. He singled in the first and fifth innings.

Even though Kruzich allowed five runs over eight innings he still recorded the victory, his first of the season. Kruzich struck out three, walked six and gave up six hits.

Kelsey Oldham couldn't get it done on the bump for the Clark, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
