The Neptune Beach Pearl beat the South Bay Storm (2-1) 13-0 on Sunday at Laney College after a nine-run explosion in the second inning.

The Neptune Beach Pearl scored in the second on an RBI single by Allman, an error, a two-run single by Andrews, a two-run triple by Bate, an RBI single by de Watteville, an RBI double by Akrop, and an RBI single by Bryniarski.

Akrop got a hit in each of his two at bats.

The Neptune Beach Pearl got the win thanks in large part to Wells's dominant, three-strikeout performance. The Neptune Beach Pearl's pitcher gave up just five hits over five shutout innings.

Dylan Yamasaki went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the South Bay Storm. He singled in the first, fourth, and ninth innings.

Nick Ultsch was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out two.
